Prayer (kitab al-salat): voluntary prayers
باب: امام فجر پڑھا رہا ہو اور آدمی نے سنت نہ پڑھی ہو تو اس وقت نہ پڑھے ۔
CHAPTER: (What) If He Sees The Imam Without Having Prayed The Two Rak’ahs (Before) Fajr.
Narrated Abdullah bin Sarjas: A man came while the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم was leading the people in the dawn prayer. He prayed the two rak'ahs and then joined the congregational prayer led by the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. When he finished the prayer, the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: So-and-so, which was your real prayer, the one you prayed alone or the one offered with us ?
عبداللہ بن سرجس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص آیا اور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فجر پڑھا رہے تھے تو اس نے دو رکعتیں پڑھیں پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ نماز میں شریک ہو گیا، جب آپ نماز سے فارغ ہو کر پلٹے تو فرمایا: اے فلاں! تمہاری کون سی نماز تھی؟ آیا وہ جو تو نے تنہا پڑھی یا وہ جو ہمارے ساتھ پڑھی ۱؎؟ ۔
Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلمas saying: When the iqamah is pronounced for prayer, no prayer is valid except the obligatory prayer.
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب نماز کھڑی ہو جائے تو سوائے فرض کے کوئی نماز نہیں ۔
