1 فَلَمَّا Then when پھر جب۔ پس جب 2 فَصَلَ set out جدا ہوا 3 طَالُوْتُ Talut طالوت 4 بِالْجُنُوْدِ with the forces ساتھ لشکروں کے 5 قَالَ he said اس نے کہا 6 اِنَّ "Indeed بیشک 7 اللّٰهَ Allah اللہ تعالیٰ 8 مُبْتَلِيْكُمْ will test you آزمانے والا ہے تم کو 9 بِنَهَرٍ with a river ساتھ ایک نہر کے 10 فَمَنْ So whoever تو جو کوئی 11 شَرِبَ drinks پیے گا 12 مِنْهُ from it اس سے 13 فَلَيْسَ then he is not تو نہیں ہے وہ 14 مِنِّىْ from me مجھ سے 15 وَمَنْ and whoever اور جو کوئی 16 لَّمْ (does) not نہ 17 يَطْعَمْهُ taste it پیے گا اس کو۔ چکھے گا اس کو 18 فَاِنَّهٗ then indeed, he تو بیشک وہ 19 مِنِّىْٓ (is) from me مجھ سے ہے 20 اِلَّا except مگر 21 مَنِ whoever جو 22 اغْتَرَفَ takes چلو بھر لے 23 غُرْفَةًۢ (in the) hollow ایک چلو بھرنا 24 بِيَدِهٖ (of) his hand" ساتھ اپنے ہاتھ کے 25 فَشَرِبُوْا Then they drank تو انہوں نے پیا 26 مِنْهُ from it اس سے 27 اِلَّا except مگر۔ سوائے 28 قَلِيْلًا a few تھوڑوں کے 29 مِّنْهُمْ of them ان میں سے 30 فَلَمَّا Then when پھر جب 31 جَاوَزَهٗ he crossed it اس نے پار کیا اس کو 32 ھُوَ he اس نے 33 وَالَّذِيْنَ and those who اور ان لوگوں نے 34 اٰمَنُوْا believed جو ایمان لائے تھے 35 مَعَهٗ with him اس کے ساتھ 36 قَالُوْا they said وہ کہنے لگے 37 لَا "No نہیں 38 طَاقَةَ strength کوئی ہمت (لڑائی میں) ۔ طاقت 39 لَنَا for us ہمارے لیے 40 الْيَوْمَ today آج 41 بِجَالُوْتَ against Jalut ساتھ جالوت کے 42 وَجُنُوْدِهٖ and his troops" اور اس کے لشکروں کے 43 قَالَ Said کہا 44 الَّذِيْنَ those who ان لوگوں نے 45 يَظُنُّوْنَ were certain جو یقین رکھتے تھے 46 اَنَّهُمْ that they کہ بیشک وہ 47 مُّلٰقُوا (would) meet ملاقات کرنے والے ہیں 48 اللّٰهِ Allah اللہ سے 49 كَمْ "How many کتنے ہی 50 مِّنْ of سے 51 فِئَةٍ a company گروہوں میں 52 قَلِيْلَةٍ small تھوڑے 53 غَلَبَتْ overcame غالب آئے 54 فِئَةً a company گروہوں پر 55 كَثِيْرَةًۢ large زیادہ 56 بِاِذْنِ by (the) permission ساتھ اذن کے 57 اللّٰهِ (of) Allah اللہ کے 58 وَاللّٰهُ And Allah اور اللہ 59 مَعَ (is) with ساتھ ہے 60 الصّٰبِرِيْنَ the patient ones" صبر کرنے والوں کے
