It is not for a prophet to have captives [of war] until he inflicts a massacre [upon Allah 's enemies] in the land. Some Muslims desire the commodities of this world, but Allah desires [for you] the Hereafter. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.
نبی کے ہاتھ میں قیدی نہیں چاہییں جب تک کہ ملک میں اچھی خون ریزی کی جنگ نہ ہو جائے ۔ تم تو دنیا کے مال چاہتے ہو اور اللہ کا ارادہ آخرت کا ہے اور اللہ زور آور باحکمت ہے ۔
لَوۡ لَا کِتٰبٌ مِّنَ اللّٰہِ سَبَقَ لَمَسَّکُمۡ فِیۡمَاۤ اَخَذۡتُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِیۡمٌ ﴿۶۸﴾
If not for a decree from Allah that preceded, you would have been touched for what you took by a great punishment.
اگر پہلے ہی سے اللہ کی طرف سے بات لکھی ہوئی نہ ہوتی تو جو کچھ تم نے لیا ہے اس بارے میں تمہیں کوئی بڑی سزا ہوتی ۔
