1 وَمَنْ And whoever اور جو کوئی 2 لَّمْ (is) not نہ 3 يَسْتَطِعْ able to استطاعت رکھتا ہو 4 مِنْكُمْ among you تم میں سے 5 طَوْلًا afford قدرت ۔ وسعت۔ فراخی 6 اَنْ to کہ وہ 7 يَّنْكِحَ marry نکاح کرے 8 الْمُحْصَنٰتِ the free chaste عورتوں سے جو آزاد ہیں۔ خاندانی عورتوں سے 9 الْمُؤْمِنٰتِ [the] believing women جو ایمان والیاں ہیں 10 فَمِنْ then (marry) from تو اس میں سے 11 مَّا what جو 12 مَلَكَتْ possess[ed] مالک ہوئے 13 اَيْمَانُكُمْ your right hands تمہارے دائیں ہاتھ 14 مِّنْ of میں سے 15 فَتَيٰتِكُمُ your girls تمہاری لونڈیاں 16 الْمُؤْمِنٰتِ (of) the believers جوایمان والیاں ہیں 17 وَاللّٰهُ And Allah اور اللہ 18 اَعْلَمُ knows best زیادہ جاننے والا ہے 19 بِـاِيْمَانِكُمْ about your faith تمہارے ایمان کو 20 بَعْضُكُمْ You تم میں سے بعض 21 مِّنْۢ (are) from سے 22 بَعْضٍ (one) another بعض ہیں 23 فَانْكِحُوْھُنَّ So marry them تو نکاح کرلو ان سے 24 بِاِذْنِ with (the) permission ساتھ اذن کے 25 اَھْلِهِنَّ (of) their family ان کے اہل کے 26 وَاٰتُوْھُنَّ and give them اور دو انکو 27 اُجُوْرَھُنَّ their bridal due ان کے مہر 28 بِالْمَعْرُوْفِ in a fair manner ساتھ معروف کے 29 مُحْصَنٰتٍ (They should be) chaste وہ پاکدامن ہوں 30 غَيْرَ not اور نہ 31 مُسٰفِحٰتٍ those who commit immorality بد کاریاں کرنے والیاں 32 وَّلَا and not اور نہ 33 مُتَّخِذٰتِ those who take بنانے والیاں 34 اَخْدَانٍ secret lovers چھپے دوست 35 فَاِذَآ Then when تو جب 36 اُحْصِنَّ they are married قید نکاح میں لائی جائیں 37 فَاِنْ and if پھر اگر 38 اَتَيْنَ they commit وہ آئیں 39 بِفَاحِشَةٍ adultery کسی بے حیائی کو 40 فَعَلَيْهِنَّ then for them تو ان پر ہے 41 نِصْفُ (is) half آدھی (سزا) 42 مَا (of) what وہ جو 43 عَلَي (is) on اوپر 44 الْمُحْصَنٰتِ the free chaste women پاکدامن عورتوں کے ہے 45 مِنَ of سے 46 الْعَذَابِ the punishment عذاب میں 47 ذٰلِكَ That یہ-ایسا کرنا 48 لِمَنْ (is) for whoever واسطے اس ہے جو 49 خَشِيَ fears ڈرے 50 الْعَنَتَ committing sin گناہ سے 51 مِنْكُمْ among you تم میں سے 52 وَاَنْ and that اور یہ کہ اگر 53 تَصْبِرُوْا you be patient تم صبر کرو 54 خَيْرٌ (is) better بہتر ہے 55 لَّكُمْ for you تمہارے لیے 56 وَاللّٰهُ And Allah اور اللہ 57 غَفُوْرٌ (is) Oft-Forgiving بخشنے والا 58 رَّحِيْمٌ Most Merciful مہربان ہے
