1 يٰٓاَيُّهَا O you! اے 2 الَّذِيْنَ who! لوگو 3 اٰمَنُوْٓا believe! جو ایمان لائے ہو 4 اِذَا When جب 5 جَاۗءَكُمُ come to you آجائیں تمہارے پاس 6 الْمُؤْمِنٰتُ the believing women مومن عورتیں 7 مُهٰجِرٰتٍ (as) emigrants ہجرت کرنے والیاں 8 فَامْتَحِنُوْهُنَّ then examine them تو جانچ پڑتال کرلو ان کی 9 اَللّٰهُ Allah اللہ تعالیٰ 10 اَعْلَمُ (is) most knowing خوب جانتا ہے 11 بِـاِيْمَانِهِنَّ of their faith ان کے ایمان کو 12 فَاِنْ And if پھر اگر 13 عَلِمْتُمُوْهُنَّ you know them تم جان لوان کو 14 مُؤْمِنٰتٍ (to be) believers ایمان والیاں 15 فَلَا then (do) not تو نہ 16 تَرْجِعُوْهُنَّ return them تم لوٹاؤ ان کو 17 اِلَى to طرف 18 الْكُفَّارِ the disbelievers کفار کی (طرف) 19 لَا Not نہ 20 هُنَّ they وہ 21 حِلٌّ (are) lawful حلال ہیں 22 لَّهُمْ for them ان مردوں کے لیے 23 وَلَا and not اور نہ 24 هُمْ they وہ 25 يَحِلُّوْنَ are lawful حلال ہوسکتے ہیں 26 لَهُنَّ for them ان عورتوں کے لیے 27 وَاٰتُوْهُمْ But give them اور دو ان کو 28 مَّآ what جو 29 اَنْفَقُوْا they have spent انہوں نے خرچ کیا 30 وَلَا And not اور نہیں 31 جُنَاحَ any blame کوئی گناہ 32 عَلَيْكُمْ upon you تم پر 33 اَنْ if کہ 34 تَنْكِحُوْهُنَّ you marry them تم نکاح کرو ان سے 35 اِذَآ when جب 36 اٰتَيْتُمُوْهُنَّ you have given them دے چکو تم ان کو 37 اُجُوْرَهُنَّ their (bridal) dues ان کے مہر 38 وَلَا And (do) not اور نہ 39 تُمْسِكُوْا hold تم پکڑ رکھو 40 بِعِصَمِ to marriage bonds نکاح کو۔ ناموس کو 41 الْكَوَافِرِ (with) disbelieving women کافر عورتوں کے 42 وَاسْـَٔــلُوْا but ask (for) اور مانگ لو 43 مَآ what جو 44 اَنْفَقْتُمْ you have spent خرچ کیا تم نے 45 وَلْيَسْـَٔــلُوْا and let them ask اور چاہیے کہ وہ بھی مانگ لیں 46 مَآ what جو 47 اَنْفَقُوْا they have spent خرچ کیا انہوں نے 48 ذٰلِكُمْ That یہ 49 حُكْمُ (is the) Judgment فیصلہ ہے 50 اللّٰهِ (of) Allah اللہ کا 51 يَحْكُمُ He judges وہ فیصلہ کرتا ہے 52 بَيْنَكُمْ between you تمہارے درمیان 53 وَاللّٰهُ And Allah اور اللہ 54 عَلِيْمٌ (is) All-Knowing علم والا ہے 55 حَكِيْمٌ All-Wise حکمت والا ہے
