بِسۡمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ

وَیۡلٌ لِّلۡمُطَفِّفِیۡنَ ۙ﴿۱﴾

Woe to those who give less [than due],

بڑی خرابی ہے ناپ تول میں کمی کرنے والوں کی ۔

83:1

الَّذِیۡنَ اِذَا اکۡتَالُوۡا عَلَی النَّاسِ یَسۡتَوۡفُوۡنَ ۫﴿ۖ۲﴾

Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full.

کہ جب لوگوں سے ناپ کر لیتے ہیں تو پورا پورا لیتے ہیں ۔

وَ اِذَا کَالُوۡہُمۡ اَوۡ وَّزَنُوۡہُمۡ یُخۡسِرُوۡنَ ﴿ؕ۳﴾

But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss.

اورجب انہیں ناپ کر یا تول کر دیتے ہیں تو کم دیتے ہیں ۔

اَلَا یَظُنُّ اُولٰٓئِکَ اَنَّہُمۡ مَّبۡعُوۡثُوۡنَ ۙ﴿۴﴾

Do they not think that they will be resurrected

کیا انہیں اپنے مرنے کے بعد جی اٹھنے کا خیال نہیں ۔

لِیَوۡمٍ عَظِیۡمٍ ۙ﴿۵﴾

For a tremendous Day -

اس عظیم دن کے لئے ۔

یَّوۡمَ یَقُوۡمُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ ؕ﴿۶﴾

The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds?

جس دن سب لوگ رب العالمین کے سامنے کھڑے ہوں گے ۔

کَلَّاۤ اِنَّ کِتٰبَ الۡفُجَّارِ لَفِیۡ سِجِّیۡنٍ ؕ﴿۷﴾

No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen.

یقیناً بدکاروں کا نامہ اعمال سجین میں ہے ۔

وَ مَاۤ اَدۡرٰىکَ مَا سِجِّیۡنٌ ؕ﴿۸﴾

And what can make you know what is sijjeen?

تجھے کیا معلوم سجین کیا ہے ۔

کِتٰبٌ مَّرۡقُوۡمٌ ؕ﴿۹﴾

It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed.

۔ ( یہ تو ) لکھی ہوئی کتاب ہے ۔

وَیۡلٌ یَّوۡمَئِذٍ لِّلۡمُکَذِّبِیۡنَ ﴿ۙ۱۰﴾

Woe, that Day, to the deniers,

اس دن جھٹلانے والوں کی بڑی خرابی ہے ۔
